85 [1917 10p Rose M-17 Saarinen Lion] Facit-listed (back when they listed such) plate variety Kv1 "white line to right of MI" (Facit 1974-75 #68 Kv1). Used VF with small part of straight-line village ("postal stopping place") cancellation. The catalog-listed varieties are quite challenging to find.

88 Orange [1918 20 penni "buff" M-17 Saarinen Lion, Unwatermarked] Mint, without gum, VF centered, with "S." PERFIN. Viewed from backside it is sideways, reading upwards from the right. LAPE 2010 describes this as position IIb and that all 8 possible positions are known to exist. It was used by "Keskinäinen Vakuutusosakeyhtiö Sampo", located in Turku / Åbo (but likely used this perfin at multiple locations around the country) and as of 2010 was recorded in use from September 1913 through March 1926. From my own observations, it is known on many different stamps, but even though it is the second most common Finnish perfin pattern, they are still quite scarce. Uncanceled examples are especially scarce.

88 Orange [1918 20 penni "buff" M-17 Saarinen Lion, Unwatermarked] Used with VF centering and a 1919 cancellation, with "ASEA" PERFIN. Viewed from backside it is vertical, reading downward from the left. LAPE 2010 describes this as position IVb; that all 8 possible positions are known to exist. It was used by the huge Swedish company (which had a Finnish office in Helsinki and probably other places in Finland) ASEA, or "Allmänna Svenska Elektriska Aktiebolaget" (General Swedish Electrical Limited Company); and that as of 2010 was recorded in use from March 1914 through April 1937. From my own observations, it is known on many different stamps (including Swedish use on Swedish stamps), but even though it is the most common Finnish perfin pattern, they are still quite scarce.

94a, Facit #71C2 [1917 40p violet M-17 Saarinen Lion, Unwatermarked, Perforation 14.25 x 14.75 (1920)] Used with XF centering and extremely light cancellation, but couple slightly blunted perforations at top. This major perforation difference is missing from many collections in Mint (Mint is valued 15-20 times a Used example) and in Used condition.

101 [1917 1 mk Red and Black M-17 Saarinen Lion] "Mirror Print" proof on tissue paper. A spectacular and terribly unusual type of proof. Inter-Pane 8-block with creasing in the gutter (only) as would be expected.
